The Super Green cocktail preparation , photographed step by step:
Inspired from a cocktail I used to make a couple of years ago, along with my bar manager Michele at Cahoots, London… I felt It should have been replicated on our blog; I have changed the original name to Super Green Highball !
Super Greens is the ultimate “all-in-one answer” for any customer, guest or -friends of yours- looking to get the vital nutrients and vitamins the body needs to function at a superior level.
After having collected some leftovers at home… meaning all the green stuff like spinach, some aged old forgotten apples, lemons, fresh cucumbers and a stalk of celery
Myself and Marcella have also thought we would have highly appreciate a mix of vitamins! so we have taken a bunch of spinach, cucumber and a stalk of celery alongside with some red granny apples, everything went in the juicer, pressed and made liquid! we have done something similar with our minestrone sour cocktail!
Lemon juice adds some more vitamins C to this “already packed” healthy drink, so the cocktail is rich in iron due to the spinach leaves, rich in carbs thanks to the apples (a medium size apple contains 95 Cal) for a good source of energy!
We didn’t want to say no to some bubbles! I we think bubbles makes everything fun and brings the joy of party in the house!
This Elderflower tonic introduces an elegant and refreshing fizzy mess to this cocktail, it will also introduce a tiny amount of sugars, pleasing ourselves to a sweet taste each sip of this Super Green cocktail.
Super Green cocktail execution:
- 80 ml Supergreen juice: (from cucumbers, celery, apple and spinach leaves)
- 20 ml fresh lemon juice
- 50 ml elderflower tonic
Contrasting colours, purple and green will boost your sales!
Remember, in first place: Every cocktail must have a garnish that relates somehow to the ingredients.
Taking this equally important old school teachings for granted, today we jump on what’s happening in Real time nowadays, and how efficient our cocktail can be on a colour related marketing campaign.
Colours influence how customers relate and pair their “personality” to what they eat or drink, studies provide deep analysis on how people choose food or drinks based on visual attraction:
Garnish your drink with different colours: there is a entire study on “how colours can drive people attention” and evoke particular feelings and sensation, PURPLE is the colour of royalty, it adds a touch of elegance to the green liquid contained in the glass. GREEN is a versatile color. It is also very warm and inviting, lending customers a pleasing feeling. Second, it denotes health, environment and goodwill. Finally, green is the color of money, so it creates thoughts of wealth. (Read more at https://www.business2community.com)
finally, do never forget…
- we live in the era of social media sharing, everything that looks cool and pretty goes shared on someone’s screen, and view by thousands in a couple of second after pressing the “share” button
- we live in the era of funny glassware, where no matter the colour of the cocktail, if it’s ugly, it then goes served in a cocktail ceramic mug and you turn your ugly-coloured mix into a super powerful marketing tool. some bars have their top selling drinks in cocktail mugs. try! look at this!
