“Pumpkin spiced cocktail” bringing a mixology twist to a classic known recipe ! basically, you just have to grab a saucepan!
Inspired by our favourites food bloggers, we have taken the opportunity to follow the trend of photographing pumpkins and squash, as always with an eye to cocktails and easy mixology! We couldn’t miss one or two shots of these lovely four-different squashes we bought at our favourite groceries shop, Whole foods Market, in London. We loved them in all these shapes and different colours! To know more about varieties of squash click here!
Different than others, we added habanero and ginger to our pumpkin-cocktail ! along with vegan milk.
Since the very first moment I saw these different shapes of squashes I wanted to buy all of them to prepare a “pumpkin spiced latte”, a drink very popular and very well known to all lovers of famous cafés such as Starbucks, or many others… but the idea was to give it a new flavour and a different level of spiciness, given by our favourite chillies and some fresh ginger! the preparation could not be easier than this… even thought it may take more than half an hour, considering slicing, cooking and flavouring up the pumpkin that we will use today. and why not adding a vegan plant based milk? check some tips here!
Superfoods involved in this cocktail are some of the major ones.
Habanero chillies, along with ginger, cardamoms and turmeric! is the magic blend of spices for this drink… your winter mixology has a touch of superfoods, those amazing ingredients that you add to your recipes in order to give a boost to your healthy diet! this amazing drink contains!
- Habaneros: They have a strong concentration of vitamin C, around two to three times greater than citrus fruit, and are high in fibre!
- Turmeric: is an incredible healing spice that boosts vitality. This versatile powder is also high in curcumin, a yellow natural colourant compound that helps reducing inflammation.
- cardamoms: diuretic and anti-oxidant benefits and a fantastic balsamic perfume that gives freshness to your latte!! see more of the benefits about cardamoms here

As mentioned on top of the article, we have bought different varieties of pumpkins, you notice from the below photo than they are not too expensive, considering to buy them all was a 15£ deal at whole foods,
which was not too bad considering that we want to create an amazing styling, covering our table in the dining room with all the varieties and shapes of them! imagine also that you can create an enormous amount of ingredients out of them,
just slicing one half of the butternut squash, you have the opportunity to boil the pulp, and blend it at high speed, and you will obtain circa 1 later of pumpkin puree that will help you prepare a wonderful pasta serving up to 8 people or a risotto,
or why not Pumpkin Cocktails for everyone in the borough!!
